An introduction to the practice of directing for the theatre. Students will gain practical experience in directing scenes and 10-minute plays. In addition, students will study the history of directing and the performance theories of key stage directors. The course will facilitate discussion and techniques in script analysis, conceptualization, use of performance spaces, and derivation of ground plans in theatre production.
