Academic Course Fees
Academic course fees are refundable only during the first two weeks of classes.
- Art: $20 for drawing courses; $50 for digital courses; $60 for watercolor painting courses; $90 for oil painting, plaster casting, and sculpture courses. $10 for 101; $20 for 500.
- Biology: $40 for 101; $55 for each course requiring laboratory work; $75 for 308 and 408. $100 for 368 plus deposit of $250.
- Chemistry: $40 for 101, $55 for each course requiring laboratory work.
- History: $30 for 104 and 105.
- Music: $300 for half-hour lessons; $500 for one-hour lessons
- Physics: $40 for 100; $55 for 101, 102, 201, and 202; $65 each course requiring laboratory work at or above the 300 level.
- Psychology: $15 for 342.
- Sport Studies: $65 for 112; $50 for 118; $400 for 127 and 128; $30 for 140; $150 for 141 and 142; $120 for 144 and 145; $70 for 148; $150 for 150 and 151; $50 for 155; $30 for 170 and 171; $90 for 172; $40 for 190; $45 for 200; $20 for 292; $34 for 325.
Music Fees
Hillsdale College students not majoring or minoring in music who wish to take private music lessons will be charged a non-refundable fee of $300 for one semester credit hour and $500 for two semester credit hours. Students are not considered majors or minors until they are enrolled in Music Theory (MUS 221-321). Please see Academic Information and Regulations for more information.
Auditing Fees
Instructor’s permission is required to audit a course. A student will not be charged for auditing a class.
