CLS 352: Introduction to Homeric Greek

This course introduces the student to reading Homer’s epics in the original Greek. It includes not only attention to the linguistic peculiarities of Homeric Greek and the meter of Homeric poetry, but also critical approaches to the poems. Reading normally consists of selections from either the Iliad or the Odyssey, but may include selections from both.
